The 50th Tale:
Youssef... life again
(I am Shamut, Lord) A cry of fear and dread launched by Yusuf - 10 years in moments of terrible pain between consciousness and coma... life and death.
Youssef was hit by shrapnel from a mortar shell fired by the Houthi terrorist militia at Wadi al-Dahi in Taiz. The shell hit Youssef and a number of children and civilians.
Youssef had several surgeries to remove the shrapnel and after he was released from intensive care, Youssef remembered the terrible moments of horror, saying: "I was thirsty... and I saw people cutting off my side..."
Youssef said it, and his vocal chords shook from the horror of the memory, and images of fragments and blood flew before his eyes in his imagination.
